It’s been a month since the wedding and I meant to post a recap sooner, but have not had time. But anyway, here it is.
It was a FANTASTIC weekend!
I took Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off work to get my hair, nails, and tan done and to run last minute errands. I picked up the cupcakes and cake on Friday morning and placed the candy flowers on them.
Family and friends all arrived on Friday and most came over to our house and hung out on Friday evening and had dinner.
Saturday morning we got up around 8, packed everything into the car and headed over to Dierbergs to pickup the flowers at 9.

We made it to the hotel at around 9:30 and I went to my mom’s room and Matthew went to his grandma’s room to get ready.
The amazing Patrice Clements did my hair and makeup. Patrice works out of the Beauty Bar (7001 Landsdown) if you want fabulous hair, call her!

Everyone helped me get ready, most of all, my mom.

The hotel room was full of people and we were having a great time (while adhering perfectly to schedule!)

Eventually I’m all dressed and ready

As I get ready to rush out the door to go downstairs we realize I didn’t have my hairpiece on! Quick fix.

Apparently there was some issue with the corsage pointing the right direction as Matthew as getting ready, but Grandma Ruth took care of it.

Here is Matthew getting my phone ready to do the uStream recording (Thanks Gina!) Watch the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS5y_yF-zEg

Everyone assembled downstairs ready to go into the ceremony room.

All of our guests seated, waiting for the ceremony to begin

Jocelyn (buddy) is up front

There was a slight confusion with getting the music started and timing of walking down the aisle (Thanks Nancy for your help), but they got it going eventually and Matthew and his parents ran down to the front

Followed by our adorable ring bearer (Andrew) and flower girls (Amabelle and Charlotte)

Then its time for me and my mom and brother

The ceremony was short and very sweet. Jocelyn did an awesome job!

There was a bit of confusion with the rings and some tossing of ring boxes across the room

And then it was time to kiss

AND THEN WE’RE MARRIED!

Then came the posed pics

Then the reception.

Including a bit of tech support by the bride and groom

And…….. here is a closeup of the cake topper!
After the festivities were over at Dave and Busters we went back to the hotel , where everyone got more comfortable and hung out, ate more, sang some karaoke and were even forced into a dance.
The next day we went back up to the hotel and saw everyone off.
All in all it was a fantastic day, the best I could ask for!

but had been putting off working on it because I didn’t want to cut the hole in the top.
